Turning content into $1.5M+ in influenced pipeline
A content-to-revenue measurement framework, a website rebuilt around buyer journeys, and an early AEO strategy that grew qualified inbound leads 70% and organic traffic 150%.
The situation
The firm produced a large volume of content, and leadership wanted to see which pieces moved deals. Buyers arrived at the website with specific problems and questions, and the site needed to meet them there.
The challenge
Connect content to revenue in a way sales and leadership trusted, and rebuild the website so it attracted and converted the right enterprise buyers.
What I did
Built a content-to-revenue measurement framework. I aligned content with sales stages so every asset had a job in the buying journey and its influence on pipeline could be tracked.
Repositioned the website around buyer journeys. Pages were reorganized around the questions and problems buyers brought, with search demand guiding the structure. I also launched a showcase site as the central hub for sales and marketing content.
Pioneered the company's AEO strategy. Content was structured so search features and AI assistants could quote it directly, an early move into answer engine optimization.
Equipped sales. I built sales enablement material for engagements with Fortune 500 clients in pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and retail, and prepared analyst relations, RFP, and award submissions, contributing to an industry award for supply chain analytics.
Ran the team efficiently. I led a team of six across direct reports and external writers, and cut external production costs 25% through outcome-based briefs and tighter agency performance management.
The results
- $1.5M+ in influenced pipeline.
- 70% growth in qualified inbound leads.
- 150% organic traffic growth and page-one rankings for 20+ high-intent keywords.
- 35% lift in lead conversion and a site health score of 90, in the top 10%.
- 25% lower external production costs.
What I would tell a founder
Ask your marketing team one question every quarter: which three pieces of content showed up most often in deals we won? If nobody can answer, build the measurement before you build more content.
